SDA Architecture, a Lancashire based Architect & Build firm offer a unique range of architectural services primarily to the upper elite of homeowners who looking for the highest quality new builds, extensions, conversions and design services.

SDA's approached us to create a simple but classy web design. The architect firm deals with the elite of Lancashire, with the average budget for building works of 1.5 million pounds with clients the likes of professional footballers and international finance CEOs.

With over 300 clients and thousands of related images and case studies, the site was created primarily so the Marketing Division of SDA would take over and continue to build it over the next year.

Branding and Design

Working within established brand guidelines presents a challenge for any agency. Defined house styles must be adhered to, and new styles and approaches must be defined for web-specific components. Sterling explored a number of layouts and styles with SDA, to determine how best to deliver content which was complementary to their existing print collateral, whilst exploiting the more fluid interaction, and accessibility requirements of the web.

Imagery:

Our client approached us with a wide selection of outstanding, relevant imagery. We utilised this in large format across the website, and ensured that where relevant, larger photographs could be viewed without pop-up windows.

Optimisation:

Prior to the launch the site underwent thorough optimization with applicable keyword placement throughout the site. The will continue to receive optimising with additional key-phrases as new pages are added and the portfolio is filled up, to ensure that the business receives a healthy flow of enquiries.

Additional services:

The site is complimented with a built-in blog using the famed WordPress system. All pages allow for easy addition by SDA's tech team to upload new images, create impressive changes in the type design with a custom-made "short code" we created to make large changes easy and fast without code knowledge.

RESULTS

SDA Architecture is now the most prominent Architectural Service company in its geographical area. With over 800,000 pages to compete with, we not only produced an ever-growing, easy to use website for SDA, but have brought it to the top of over 60 competitive search results.
